1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Synapse Coaching website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Synapse Coaching is a New Zealand nursing education business. These Terms apply to visitors and users of this website and its educational resources. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Educational Purpose and Scope
Synapse Coaching provides educational resources intended to support nursing knowledge, physiology understanding and clinical reasoning. The website currently introduces Synapse Coaching, promotes Synapse Tutor and collects email registrations of interest. Recorded tutorials, mini masterclasses and other learning resources may be introduced later, but are not represented as currently available. Our content is not a substitute for formal nursing education, clinical supervision, professional judgement or institutional policies.
3. Not Medical Advice
The educational content on this website is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Simulated patient cases are for educational purposes only. Users must not rely on this website or its content for real patient care or urgent health decisions.
4. Professional Judgement and Clinical Responsibility
Users remain responsible for following their education provider’s requirements, professional standards and applicable clinical policies. Synapse Coaching does not replace clinical supervision, workplace protocols or the judgement of a suitably qualified professional.
5. Synapse Tutor and AI-Generated Content
Synapse Tutor is an AI-supported educational tool currently being developed and tested. It uses the Synapse Method to guide learners through simulated patient cases. It is not a clinical decision-making system. AI-generated responses may contain errors or omissions and must not be relied upon for real patient care.
6. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You must use this website lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, scrape or commercially extract its content, upload harmful material, or use educational content to provide unsafe clinical advice. Do not submit confidential patient information or personal health information.
7. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
Synapse Coaching’s original teaching materials, branding and Synapse Method content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may access them for personal educational use only. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, sell, share or redistribute them without permission. This does not claim ownership of third-party material; third-party content remains subject to its owner’s rights and terms.
8. Website Availability and Future Services
We aim to keep the website available, but access may occasionally be interrupted, changed or withdrawn. Synapse Tutor, recorded tutorials, mini masterclasses and other learning resources may be introduced later and are not guaranteed to be available at any particular time. No paid subscriptions, refunds, payment processes or cancellation conditions are created by these Terms.
9. Accuracy and Limitations of Information
We aim to provide useful and current educational information, but content may contain errors, omissions or outdated material. Verify information against current guidance, your education provider’s requirements and applicable institutional policies.
10. Liability and Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any additional limitation wording should be reviewed by a New Zealand lawyer before publication.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Last Updated date will show when changes were made.
